Bellamont Asset Management (Pty) Ltd (“Bellamont”) is an authorised Category I and II financial services provider in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act No. 37 of 2002 (“FAIS Act”) with FSP number 53075.
Starting his career in the asset management industry in London in 1999, Warren has built invaluable industry experience that informs much of what we do at Bellamont today.
Investment theory and understanding of what drives returns over time has been a focus of his career and studying his CFP led him to the Private Banking world of private client management.
The corporate world was the ultimate training ground with stints at Coutts Private Bank, Deutsche Asset Management and then a return to South Africa joining Stanlib Asset Management. An entrepreneurial streak meant it was inevitable that a private practice would be established.
Outside of work, a busy family means spare time is often at a premium, but sport or something interesting to read will always fill the gaps.
With over 25 years of experience in the wealth management industry, having worked for JP Morgan, ING Financial Markets and Insinger de Beaufort in London over a 7-year period through the Millenium, there has been a continuous focus on honing his skills around advising clients and families in managing their investments and financial affairs across their balance sheets.
Taking time to form strong bonds with his clients over the years and to understand different lifestyles, needs and long-term objectives, has enabled Oliver to build authentic relationships, which are as important as producing above-benchmark returns.
He specialises in financial planning and structuring for high-net-worth families, working across multiple generations to construct and implement appropriate solutions for the preservation of wealth for future generations.
Matt joined Bellamont Wealth as an Equity Analyst in February 2021. He graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with an Honours degree in Finance and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
Being part of a team that strives to keep learning and improving every day, while going above and beyond for each client, is a great source of motivation for Matt. He believes that investment success is about making a small number of meaningful investments and having the patience to keep hold of them.
Matt is inspired by the late, great Sir Winston Churchill and lives by his quote, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
Outside of work Matt enjoys all things sports-related and – probably due to his average sporting abilities – tries to live by Alex Morgan’s mantra, “Winning and losing isn’t everything; sometimes the journey is just as important as the outcome.”
With extensive experience in Financial Services and Professional Coaching, Neil specialises in providing wealth management services in support of his client’s goals and objectives. Life is not linear, financial strategies need to accommodate ever changing life circumstances. He builds long term relationships with his clients and ensures their financial strategies are continually adapted to their changing requirements.
His qualifications include a BComm (Accounting & Economics), a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and the Professional Coaching Course (UCT GSB). Neil is based in London and is a keen cyclist spending time with family and friends exploring new exciting routes locally and abroad.
